"iPad Wallpapers" | |||

I'll send you a picture in about 13 days. I'll play around with the Simulator tonight and see if it has the ability to change backgrounds. Greg, if you think the name iPad is Creepy, check out this horrible iPad protective case: http://www.tipb.com/2010/03/11/imaxi-maxi-pad-ipad-case-etsy/ |

Then the wallpaper size should be 1024x1024 and not 1024x768 right? I had that question in my head since I heard about the resolution on that pseudo-widescreen. |

As I understand it there is no stretching, only selective cropping of a square image. |

The question is, will the image scale correctly? given that the pixels are "stretched". |

Dunno if this will change the view on your pictures, but the resolution on the iPad is 1024-by-768-pixel resolution at 132 pixels per inch (ppi). |

I understand there is a switch above the volume controls (top right side) that locks the screen so it won't rotate. |

I'll get one up as soon as I get mine next month. |

I was hoping for this resolution, but not b/c I'm getting an iPad. My desktop pc's monitor is 1024x768, and I was having to crop everything! Maybe its time for a bigger display... |

I would have called it "Giant iPod Touch" since that's basically what it is. The only other differentiations would be the option for 3G and the ability to run iWork apps. |

I just read that the iPad auto-switches the image from portrait to landscape mode depending on how you are holding it. Thus the image needs to be 1024 x 1024 to accommodate both. |

I would have called it the "iTab", but no one asked me. |

And one of the giants has asked me to hold his iPhone. Plus, the name is a little creepy, lol... |
