When I first signed up, the news blog was short enough (and I had enough time at at the job which was gradually sucking my soul dry in that era) that I went back and read the entire thing. Since then, I've kept up, and even sent a few e-mails on your major life events. I look forward to many more years! |

I'm not sure why your image "Fluorescence" is so captivating but it just fascinates me! I was thinking about it and cave exploring and thought an image of a large cavern with stalactites and stalagmites of all different shapes and sizes, along with these fluorescent mushrooms decorating the floor and walls of the cavern would be very magical. Just a thought. Keep up the amazing work!! Thanks! |

I am working on a new way of watermarking my images using Photoshop actions. It's going to save me alot of time and also allow me blend it better with the background. It's going to be a little higher than in previous versions to account for the Windows 7 taskbar. Not sure I like it anywhere other than the bottom right corner though. |

I have used a double-sized taskbar for years in XP. I use the second row for an address bar and several link folders. On the other hand, I use a double monitor setup... I would say that you really don't need to change it on all your past work. If you want to make a slight change in the future, I see a couple of options. Top right instead of bottom right, or verticle, on the far right. |

theres only 1 thing I dont like about this site... when Im on my PS3 and try to sign onto digital blasphemy... when the login comes up and I put my user and pass in, the box comes up many times over and over, sometimes 10 times or more. which gets super annoying and i eventually just give up and go onto something else. not only that, but when I somehow do get onto DB on my ps3, the newest wallpaper that is shown is "beginning of the end". it still does this even when I delete the cookies. sucks. just thought Id share that with you. |

Apart from the whole hiding the watermark business what's wrong with the taskbar? I find it nice that it makes it easier to select different windows since many people are on higher resolution screens, and that it adds the date as well. |

Yes the new taskbar can be transparent. Personally I really really don't like the size and design of the new taskbar. Its one of the reasons I'm gonna stick to Vista for a while. |

I cant wait for the next wallpaper! YAYY!!!!! |

Aren't you able to make the taskbar transparent? Not that I'd know, but I saw a few Win7 screenshots where only the borders of the taskbar were prominent. |

I remember how you woke up to celebrate your 30th birthday, only to see the horrible news on TV. I'm glad there have been much better days in your life since then. |

I've lost so many conversations, so much data over the years. I go by the "sweep the hard drive clean" policy after 5 years or so. And sometimes more often, if I think I won't need something. But now there are so many links to the past that are gone. |

Ryan, that worked that makes the taskbar back to the old windows vista and xp size. I can now see the entire watermark. Great research. Did not realize that this was an option. I thought when I first saw this option browsing through the settings that this would just make the quick launch icons smaller. But it in fact made the whole bar smaller. so problem is solved. thanks!!!! |

Found this link: How to Make the Windows 7 SuperBar (Taskbar) Icons Smaller (Small Size) » My Digital Life Anyone willing to give it a shot? Also it would be helpful if I could get a 2560 x 1600 screenshot of a Windows 7 desktop so I could see for myself how big the Taskbar can get. I'm not finding any through GIS. |

Ya I'm running 1920x1200 highest res. my computer holds. I've been running this resolution for a long time, long befor I installed windows 7. Never had any problems. I'm very computer savy. Resolution isn't the problem. The problem is windows 7 taskbar in the smallest form was built higher than windows xp and vista. It gets in the way of the watermark. If anyone wants to see the same thing I'm seeing then install windows 7 Ultimat. Use the recomended resolution settings or samae resolution you were using, and I bet the watermark is cut off. Just sucks. |

I'm running Windows XP Home, and the watermark is covered up partially by the taskbar. I think it has to do with your monitor resolution. Right now my monitor is on 1440x900, and when I bumped it up to 1920x1200 the watermark was sitting neatly above the taskbar. So if you're comfortable with it, try making your monitor resolution higher- that may solve the problem. |

Ya that might be cool. Would like to see a new watermark. That is something that hasn't changed in a long time. It also might solve this problem. Hey, no rush though, ill take artwork over the watermark!!! Thanks for taking the time to respond to your lifetime members problems! I appreciate it! |

It does suck. I should come up with a new watermark that wouldn't be covered up by a taskbar, but is also less intrusive than the current version. |

moving the bar to the top is an idea. If you dont want to take the time to move all the watermarks that is fine. I can understand that. But on new pics is it possible? Once more people use windows 7 they will see what Im saying. you cant adjust the height any smaller, it will go bigger but I like the small bar. I can deal with this issue but hey i was just pointing out that it kind of sucks that microsoft made the taskbar about 3mm higher for window 7. gets in the way of the watermark. |

I've had my Windows taskbar on top since about 1999. I originally did it just to be different and now I'm stuck with it lol And the news archive is rather cool. I've followed this site since I stumbled upon it in 1999, but have only been a member for the last few years. Kinda fun watching the progression, especially reading about your 'wicked fast' new computer you picked up at the end of 1999 lol |

Move the taskbar to the top! |

Is it possible to adjust the size of the taskbar in Windows 7? Gotta be honest with you, redoing all of my watermarks would be a huge PITA. |

Ryan, Hey I recently upgraded to Windows 7. I have noticed that when I use your backgrounds, the new taskbar across the bottom for windows 7 cuts out your digitalblasphemy.com signature. The taskbar goes right through the middle. Can you possibly move up the digitalblasphemy.com signature in the bottom right hand corner about 1/4 of an inch. It just bugs me and I think its something that you are not aware of. It was perfect on windows vist and Xp. But with the new windows it just slices it in half. If you can't do this on all the old versions then is it possible to do it on all new pictures. This would be greatly appreciated. Hope this makes sense if not just tell me to email you. Thanks alot! |

I think I have been a lifetime member since 1999 or 2000. I can only tell you that my wallpapers are always the envy of the office. The artwork is incredible and I am always pleasantly surprised at the latest additions. Keep up the good work; looking forward to the next 10 years of the same excellence. |

Cool Ryan, this will be a helpful resource for anyone new to the site to get a feel for the man behind the artwork. It could also give a little insight into what was going on in your life when certain images were created, maybe show what was inspiring you at the time. Can't wait to see the new render! |
