I'm usually pretty quiet about this kind of thing. I figure, hey, it's your site, you're free to do what you want with it. But since you asked, I'll voice my opinion by saying I tend to see the unrelated personal stuff as a distraction from the wallpapers - a distraction for me of course, not for you; this isn't a question of productivity. I enjoy reading about the technical obstacles and the creative process as long as they are related, but beyond that I tend to stay away for my own reasons. I find that when I get too close to the person who creates a piece of art, it seems to lose some of its magic. It's almost like attaching a human creator to it brings it back to reality. To minimize this, I try to let the art speak for itself (only making exceptions for a few related posts which I read for leisure). If you do decide to incorporate more of your Twitter and FB posts, I guess I won't mind. I'm not one to get all hot and bothered about these kinds of things. I'll probably just skim past them like I do with the ones on the sidebar currently. It's not like I'm being forced to read them. Just wanted to chime in on an interesting discussion. -pat |

Hi all, After reading the soldier's note I wanted to share with you all a little "trick": Why settle for one Wallpaper when you can have them all??? I am using a nice little (only 2.4Mb) application called Wallpaper-Slideshow-LT (can be downloaded from "http://www.sharewareplaza.com/Wallpaper-Slideshow-LT-download_46922.html"). The application automatically changes your wallpaper. On my machines it randomly choses from all of my DigitalBlasphemy Wallpapers. The application is very easy to use and configure. It is Vista compatible (even works on the Vista-64-bit version!). Highly recommended!!! Eyal. |

I know it's more than teenagers but I just can't bring myself to get into that whole Facebook thing. Also, I really don't need to know that badly that a render has started or stopped or what anyone had in place of coffee this morning. I'm just that interested or have the need to know that instance. I can wait until I can turn on my RSS reader in an hour, in a day, or next week and know that it's been posted. |

Have Myspace & Facebook (don't really use myspace anymore though). Don't have twitter... haven't tried it so maybe I shouldn't knock it, but it doesn't sound as functional as facebook. |

Your image that you are using for twitter, a multi colored fluorescence (2009), can you put that in your pickle jar (in all the usual sizes). I absolutly love it! |

Personally, I'm a fan of having your work related stuff posted on the member page/feed and having personal stuff posted elsewhere. I am a Facebook fan and I do see FB as a great way to post things like the Texas pictures. So long as you post graphics updates on Twitter, I'm good with whatever else you decide to do on Twitter. Thanks for the great work! |

I'm always interested in what you have to post. Seeing the man behind the stage just makes your pictures more interesting because you get a feeling for what makes them. (to wax slightly poetic... ;) ) As for facebook and twitter- it's something I use to read a communicate, you I think it definitely works as the proper venue for what you're using it for. Just keep a link to "latest facebook entry" or something on the sidebar. |

I actually just noticed you have a Facebook feed on this website. I guess I just ignored it until today, and didn't realize you posted such interesting information there! I'm happy to use that feature and just click on what interests me from there if you'd prefer to keep using Facebook in that manner as it doesn't require me to join Facebook to use. Personally, I think it's fine to use the news update here for information like this, or you can utilize the Blog section of the website you started, but I don't want to add extra work for you, so do what's easiest. I do think even with the Facebook feed though, it could be really easy for people to overlook some of the neat things you posted about like the soldier's letter (which I loved!). So, it's probably good idea to highlight something of particular interest like that on occasion even if you want to stick to Facebook. Just my 2 cents. :) |

I am with Michelle on this. I will not join facebook or the others. I am interested in much of your personal items also, but I see this as more your decision than ours |

That is good to know. My policy up until now has been to use the news updates on here mainly for graphics related updates. The Facebook/Twitter updates have been more behind the scenes personal stuff (plus graphics updates of course). I guess the question is, should I cross-post the Facebook updates to the news page here? Or should I keep the focus here on my work and leave the personal stuff to Facebook/Twitter? |

I don't like Facebook, Myspace or those type of social networking sites. I would far prefer to learn about these things during my regular visits here then having to join a website I have no interest in using. |

i don't know if i overstep my member rights to suggest a new render idea, but that email would definitely inspire an oasis picture if the talent were mine...i haven't had a chance in the last couple years to really dig into everything you've done, but i plan to on one of these extra boring days at work. all that to say that i don't know whether you've done an oasis picture before...just that i think one would be cool. love your work! |
