Digital Blasphemy Finally Has an iOS App!!

Getting ready to submit the first working DB iOS app this morning. I assume you will all know what "db" stands for?

Thanks to DB Member Jeff Richards I am proud to annouce that you can now browse and download my work on you iOS devices without having to visit my site. I will be the first to admit that my site was designed primarily for desktop/laptop users and even the mobile site is a bit clunky to use on a touch device.

ANDROID USERS:

I've had an Android app for some time now, thanks to DB Member Paul Miller.

HOWEVER, Paul can no longer update the app due a new job and it will have to removed from Google Play soon due to a security vulnerability with the current version of Cortana. Jeff has said he will take over the Android App and re-write it to match the current iOS offering once we are happy with the features. When that happens the new Android App will be FREE just like the iOS version.

The iOS App is touchscreen optimized and my Members who are iOS users will enjoy not having to enter their username/password everytime they want to download a new image!

The new app (version 2.0+) is designed to be streamlined and easy to use. I didn't want a bunch of graphical bells & whistles getting in the way.

When you first open the app you will see a menu of all my different galleries...

We will probably open up a news page first in future versions. Selecting the gallery you want to view will open up a page of thumbnails. Free sample images (there are over 40 of them) are marked with the word "free"...

Select the image you would like to view and it will show you the image, the image rating and the number of comments. If you would like to download the image touch the icon in the top right corner to get the download menu...

If the image is free, it will download directly to your "Camera Roll" (in a future version we will add the ability to choose/create a folder for these downloads). If it isn't a free image you will be asked to login with your Digital Blasphemy username and password (sign up here).

You must give the App permission to access your photos if you want to download images!. If you deny permission and would like to change this setting go to Settings > Privacy > Photos and turn the Switch ON next to the DB app.

Please NOTE: In version 2.0 the LOGIN box will pop up if the image cannot download for any reason.

Network congestion, a missing file on my server, dropped connection and pretty much any other error will result the LOGIN box popping up again. Once your username/password has been entered however, you will never be required to enter it again unless your account expires or you change your password. We will add better error reporting in the future update I promise!!

Touching the "Comments" link on the image page will lead to a page with Member feedback on that particular image. We will most likely put these comments on the image page itself in the future update (and reverse chronologically list them as I do on my site). We will also work to add the Membership level to the comments (to more closely match my site).

Allow Members to leave comments on images.
Allow Members to leave ratings on images.
Add the news page
Allow non-Members to purchase individual images via in-App purchase
Add more image resolution choices for Members (currently only "square" images are downloaded)
An Option to show only free images for non-Members
Better thumbnail spacing on iPhone 6/6s+
