Solitude: Created 11/15/98 using Bryce 3D and Ray Dream Studio 5. I would very much like to visit this place.

"Still Captivating"
I saw the earlier comment about the difficulty of accessing the file, but still, in reviewing some of my favorite "oldies," I figured I'd make a plug for this one. It's very difficult to verbalize, but this one still appeals to me some 15 years after I first viewed it. Might be worth a re-visit, if you ever feel like it. I forget what I rated it, but whatever it was, it was too low!

This picture is awesome, and reminds me of the game series, Myst.

"Magnificent"
This is brilliant. I remembered this from years ago and have just spent the last twenty-something minutes looking for it.

This definitely ranks up with my favourites (Conjunction, ThetisMoon, Fluorescence, Dispersion and Daughter)

as long as it retains most of its original appeal I'd say that could work. but if you do so, please dont try to modernize it too much as for example filmmakers do today when remastering all their old stuff with a orange/teal look so that it looks like a modern product, to use this kind of comparison ;)

I would have to reinstall Bryce to edit this file. Not sure I even have the original scene file any more (it might be on a Zip Disk but my reader is the parallel port version).

It would be easier to just redo the scene from scratch using Vue d'Esprit.

maybe its also the general weather situation. you could try with some sunbeams coming trough the clouds or turn the whole weather a bit brighter overall. just be careful with those cirrostratus clouds at the left, I really like them the way they are :>

"revisiting"
maybe this could be revisited as well, although I have to say

I am not so sure what to work on. imho that kind of 'building' and bride still looks quite fine to me, same for the coulds and what can be seen (or hardly seen or not at all) under those. maybe its the mountains at the right side and in front of that thing which could need a little more definition. those at the left looks rather alright again, as they are covered by clouds anyway.

would be nice if you could devote a little time here in the future ;)

"fascinating, really"
don't know why this one has not gotten a comment yet. It's really an arresting picture. I imagine the 'canopy' really being the gnarled roots of a world-tree, and the vista, a mystical plane outside, or under, the visible world.
