Description

For the last week or so I’ve been learning how to use the modeler in Blender and then how to import, texture and render those objects in VUE. My goal with Blender is to use it as I used Lightwave; to model geometry for my VUE scenes and use it to render abstracts, interiors and planetscapes.

Some folks may remember that I rendered some of my early Lighwave modeling practice using Bryce back in day before I dug into the native renderer. This particular scene was created using techniques similar to what I used for “The Comb” so I chose to re-visit that title as well 🙂

This is my new phone background. Thanks so much

    Love your abstracts. Beautiful

  3. Onicenda [basicmember]

Hexagons are the Bestagons. Love it.

I really like this particular abstract. Good luck with Blender; my experiences with it are that it’s… let’s call it unintuitive.

  5. Maarten [lifer]

Love this one! Funny you mention The Comb, because for me immediately Archive (2016) came to mind.

Both are among my favorites from the Abstracts gallery so that kind of explains the love for this one. 🙂

  6. Littlemom [liferplus]

I absolutely love this version of this render!!!

  7. BobC [lifer]

Of your abstracts, this type is my absolute favorite – a kind of “realistic abstract” that appears to depict a totally unknown object or place with only the title as a hint and absolutely no clue as to scale. Fun to just look at it for a while and see what it will reveal.
