Some of you have asked to see where I work. I posted these pictures originally on the Digital Blasphemy Facebook page, but as not all of you have (or want) Facebook accounts I’ve been asked to post them here.

This is where I spend most of my day. The desk was custom made by a carpenter friend of the family. It’s designed so all of my wires run through the desk (a sort of hidden compartment) rather than hang on the outside. I think I’ve managed to overload it’s “wire capacity” however.

In the spring of 2011 I replaced my 6 year old BOXX workstation with a custom built monster which I call “Bucephalus“. It houses 2 Xeon CPUs running at 3.46 GHz, 48 GB of RAM, and SSD storage. It’s crazy fast. Yes, I still only use one monitor. I hope to add another couple 30 inchers when I have a spare $3000 laying around.

I recently hooked up an XM satellite radio receiver to my computer. I can’t imagine how I got along without it before. The speakers are M-Audio Studiophile 5.1 and the tablet is from Wacom. There are a number of hardware pieces in the background for a new machine I am building.

The lava lamp was inspired by “Hustle and Flow”. The couch is where I go when I’m stuck on an project.

If you look on my screen you’ll see that I was working on “Moonshadow” when I took this picture.

I had these “Fluorescence” variations printed on Zazzle (they are available in my Zazzle gallery. Look under the “Fluorescence Triptych” Product Line). I think they make a nice backdrop.

So this is where it all happens. I hope this gives you all a better idea of how (and where) I create these images. It’s not much, but it’s home!
