As mentioned last time, I started this night version of “Park Place (Spring)” rendering even before I posted the day scene. I’d hoped to have it ready in a few days but did not factor in that all the extra lights and shadow calculations would blow up the render time. It took far longer that I anticipated but I hope it was worth the wait!
While it was rendering on Rochallor I started a new practice project (an abstract) on Shadowfax which should be ready soon. Stay tuned!

My apologies that this one took quite a bit longer than usual. Unfortunately my Crohn’s disease reared its ugly head after a few years of remission and I had to spend a few days in the hospital. I’m feeling much better now but sadly it’s a problem that can come back at any time without warning.
I had been working on a new addition to my spring gallery and I’m happy to finally be able to share it. This one is a continuation of a park theme I started back in 2020. I’d initially set out to create something more like “Chisen” but halfway through I shifted gears.
I hope you enjoy it! A night version is already rendering. Thanks everyone for your patience and for continuing to support my work!!

As mentioned last time, here’s a night version of “Galatea” with some glowing flora. Played around with a few different options but in the end I decided to stick with the unconventional color palette here for the night scene.
I hope you enjoy it!!

And now for something completely different… Was playing around the Gaea creating colorful, alien landforms and thought it would be fun to create a scene for them. The foreground flora was created using Plant Factory. Might attempt a night version next 🤔

I took a bit of time off this past week as my oldest son Ian is home from college for Spring Break. Haven’t been entirely idle however! As promised last time, here’s a look at “Cauldron” from a nearby world. I played around with a few different concepts before I settled on something I liked, one of which might make it into the Pickle Jar at some point.
I hope you enjoy it!
