My brother and I were raised by a single-mom who worked long hours as a nurse. We did not have money for all the latest toys but she told me often that "I will always buy you a book". She spent a considerable amount on a set of encyclopedias that I read pretty much cover-to-cover.
Her guidance turned me in a "philomath" (lover of learning) and this render is dedicated to her in the same way that Portals is dedicated to my Dad. She bought my first PC which I used to create my first renders. She's nurtured and invested in my creative spirit at every turn. Her library isn't quite as orderly as this one however :-D
I should note that the title has a bit of a double-meaning because this is the my first render in my gallery created using "Blender". This is a fairly simple image but I've had to re-learn a LOT to create this. I still have much to learn!

I love this, its the kind of beautiful library I want to have and would never since I read my books. Thank you

"Love the environment change"
Your planetscapes and waterscapes are among my favorites but I really love it when you do something different like this. Perhaps it could be the start of a series on the interior of the conjurer’s castle? Of course such a person would have many tomes in his or her library!

"This Reminds me of An Older Piece"
This is so cool. The colors, reflections, it all feels good for some reason. It reminds me of a piece you did years ago of colored bottles. That was my desktop for a very long time! Bring it back!

I knew there was a word for what I am! I love the book scheme - and envy it.

Would love to see something depicting my favorite word - 'defenestration'. I bet you could have some fun with that! (the act of throwing something out of a window}

"Color Rush"
I have this on both of my desktops. I would like to request a version where the books look "normal" (i.e., typical book jacket colors like more subdued browns blues greens and blacks, and not so neurotically organized 😋)

To Paul B. and webworx, you may be interested in the show Color Rush. It's available in Korean with English subtitles on viki.com "Yeon Woo sees the world only in grey light by a neurological blindness. But when he meets Yoo Han, his destined lover, Yeon Woo experiences a "color rush", a phenomenon which makes him suddenly see colours through intense experiences." This is an LGBTQ+ story.

And to Ryan, please feel free to edit my review as it goes well outside the bounds of critique 😊

"From another Color Blind Dude"
Fascinating that people that are color blind are obsessed with focussing on what others see. I am red/green and blue/yellow color blind. Although I often validate the "reality" out of curiosity, I mostly just enjoy seeing things my way. Often I am told that my interpretations are weird... So, I'm weird! Love the library

I have red green color blindness. Your book display was an opportunity for me to try to discern the colors. For folks that aren't colorblind it's like a fish swimming in water but for me it's work but only if I concentrate on what I'm looking at.

I was right about red being far left; the middle being yellow; I tried my best to pick the blue from purple and of course got it wrong; couldn't have guessed the books in the 2nd from the left - my daughter had to tell me that the stack was orange.

Great piece of art by the way. One of my favorites in the last little while.

"You read my mind!"
I've been sitting in Microsoft Teams meetings for weeks wondering "Why doesn't Digital Blasphemy have a library background? I bet books would be a great subject!" And here it is! I love it!

"Bookshelves"
All of your work is great but this one really stood out to me. The detail in the trees and floor are breathtaking.

Awesome!

"Books by color"
This one reminds me of all the bookshelves I've seen over the last months during the pandemic (through all the video conferencing!) that people have organized by color! That was a very nice story about your mother though. Thanks for the art!

"Something different!"
I love this! It's nice to see a different pace. I like when you make these kinds of images. It gives off a pleasant feel of being inside a modern home but with an "interesting" collection of books.

"I'm definitely going to win at Zoom bookshelf wars now"
It's really great to see the DB stylings used in a completely different context, plus now I can compete at bookshelf wars with my colleagues, which hasn't been possible before because all our books are on shelves in a different room to where I do my online meetings.

"Definitely into this!"
Different from lots of your normal stuff but still has that DB feel! Would love to see something similar with maybe some wall hanging colorized artwork between those trees/plants

"Very Cool"
This is unique in the DifitalBlasphemy catalog--I was also surrounded by books while I was growing up. Nice.

This one immediately shouted out "Zoom background" to me.

"Cropping"
The multiscreens add such cool perspective to the original image! I'm currently using a 3840x1200 setup, and decided to take the 4800x1200 image to make my own crop of it in the centre with very little of either pillar showing. That's just my preference, though. I think it's outstanding either way!

"Speaks volumes"
I abolutely love this. It's a book version of loads of CAT cables!!!

Are the books in release sequence?

Love it.

"Sweet"
This is very nice. I like the colors you chose. If you made a dual screen what other colors would you add? I wonder if this is the library of the mysterious friend that appears now and then in Ryans wallpapers

"Works for the OCD"
Very neat idea, Ryan! I hope that the multiscreen renders don't cut through the middle of the bookcase. Maybe it will just include more of the surrounding space and keep the bookcase in one screen?

Great job for your first Blender render. :)
