I played around with my Vulcan scene a bit before moving on and created this snowy version. I'd originally planned for it to be a Pickle Jar only render but after sharing it on social media a lot of folks thought it deserved its own place in the gallery. Let me know what you think!

"Amazing as always"
I love your landscapes and how they weave through planets or forests they are amazing and wish I could make something like it but I don't have the skill nor the time. I am a lifetime subscriber and have been for about 10+ years and through the years, your work has inspired me and filled me with wonder.

Planets, grey stone, snow, and orange fire. Not one of my favorites. Sorry Ryan.

"Gallery"
I agree. This should be in the gallery. I like it. It is definitely 'otherworldly'.

"A Unique Planetscape"
Based on some of the other planetscapes that I have seen this one has quickly become one of my favorites. The lighting is exceptional and the snow just adds to highlight the entire scene. I'd also really like to see, perhaps, this included in a 'Portals' re-rendering. Please keep these planetscapes coming. Very well done Ryan!

"snow is cooler - literally"
Seeing a new version of the first ever DB image was great, but the brightness of the star bothered me slightly. This version is much subtler, and I think works better. Both are great clearly, and probably could stay in the gallery. Nice work Ryan.

"Vulcan (Snow)"
I like the planets. The star is cool but I like the planets better.

"IMHO..."
...better than the original, which should become the pickle jar version if necessary. A lovely piece of work, Ryan

"Somehow seems less bleak"
Maybe I just don't feel as threatened with snow covering the sharp rocks.

For those with 7840x2160 displays, ImageMagick crops the 11520x2160 image down to size nicely with:

convert vulcan2k1913xuhd\: -crop 7680x2160 vulcan2xuhd.jpg

or whatever you end up calling the final file.

"Not exactly Dreamland but...."
I like the planetary bodies better than the "star" in the last version. Excellent piece all around.

"Worthy!"
Definitely worthy of it's own place in the gallery. Both versions are great.
