I’d intended to create a winter version of “Dapplewood” before the Christmas holiday but got a bit sidetracked. I hope people are still in the mood for Winter wallpapers in February 🙂

This is one of my favorite wallpapers to use during the winter, but can we get multiscreen versions?

One of the best and yet beautiful but most importantly is seeing your name on them. Just so you know not all of them in the scale you recommend (and I mean when you click again to make it fit the whole screen with the magnifying glass just before you click to save) shows your name. I’ve noticed that not all are in the actual same place. Some are higher than others. Don’t take this in anyway bad please. It’s just when your name is a bit higher in your final picture, I’m able to see it in the picture when I click the + and then download it to save it.

I guess there will never be a multi-screen render of this one, right…?

When I look at this image I feel as if I am really there. Very weird. I feel as if I am about to cry…in a very good way. Beautiful.
Richard H. [liferplus]
I too was hoping for a multi-screen of this.
Jami [basicmember]
Still hoping for a multi-screen of this one.. winter isn’t finished with us yet.
Eyal [lifer]
Are you going to add Multi-Screen version?

It reminds me of the woods behind my parents’ old house in New Hampshire!
The only thing hindering this from being a 10, in my eyes, is that some of the transitions between snow or ice, and other materials, are too harshly digital. Still a 9+ though. Well done, again, Ryan!!!

It reminds me of my home in the Pacific Northwest.

Great image, whilst implying a dark melancholy, it does it superbly without having to suggest a thing at all. It reminds of teen days back in NW Montana and ice skating parties in the wild back waters of the local river. This image is perfect.

Another solid(no pun intended) image Ryan!
Typically winter evokes for me a kind if sadness before spring and summer. But this one has an optimism and bright touch to it that gives it a warmth within the obvious freezing creek, snow and dark distance beyond.
Susan [nonmonthly]
Very well defined, but a little bit too crisp and cold looking for me. It’s my summer at the moment and I’m liking the heat

This is beautiful, I really like this, even more so than the other versions. And it’s not too late for a winter scene!

A. Wyeth has always been one of my favorites 🙂

The texture of the bark and the coloring really, really reminds me of Andrew Wyeth. See these:

Thanks Ryan, I have woods all around in SW Missouri and the only thing missing are animal tracks(real or imagined) could be fun.

It’s still winter here in mountains of Montana (-11 deg this morning). Love this render. To me it captures the still quiet if a beautiful winter day.

Howdy. (Dapplewood (Winter), from the 2018 gallery). Anyone for a winter forest trail walks? Dawn the winter apparel, collect the thermos of your favorite hot beverage, and enjoy this tranquil moment. I assume Ryan receives many comments/feedback/critiques of his work by digital artists. As a naturist artist and photographer, when I look at a piece of artwork I want the work to summon my imagination, to absorb me, and to engage me. – Horseman LR

Ryan, maybe for a future winter or summer scene, you might try some “Bird’s eye-view” landscapes. The “Blue Shadows” would make an excellent winter scene

With the proliferation of drones, we are seeing so much more, from angles rarely seen. The flowering fields of Holland and Denmark are CRAZY from a BEV. You can bring the human element to them. My $0.10 and keep up the great work!!
Littlemom [liferplus]
Nice render, and it’s still winter so I’m all for this render. Great job Ryan!!!
Fandeboris [lifer]
Hands down one of the best winter scenes I have ever seen. Ryan, you have outdone yourself. One could almost get lost in this.
Lisa T [liferplus]
I get 2 Seasons in CA – Rain and Sunshine, so I crave what I once had – 4 Seasons in ID, and THIS sustains and delights!
Jenanne [liferplus]
Wonderful! This is a great addition to your series renders. I second the motion for a night version.
Jami [basicmember]
Definitely in the mood for more winter wallpapers. I’m hoping for the dual screen version of this one soon. I use dual monitors at home and at work.
D. C. Sessions [lifer]
Since we didn’t get much of one this year, OF COURSE we’re in the mood for winter — in the Southwest, anyway. Deciduous trees and frozen streams are more purely “winter” than the usual evergreens, too.
Ozaawaagosh [basicmember]
This is perfect, I always loved the stillness, of a winter day, just afer a fallen snow, relaxing, and peaceful. Awesome Render my Friend.
CBR Rider 1 [liferplus]
It’s Olympic time….just put in some curling stones. 🙂
Dual screen?
Gabe [nonmonthly]
I always enjoy the winter scenes. Any chance of night time version of this?
Mark [liferplus]
I can only rate this 10 stars, but it deserves 10,000,000
Eyal [lifer]
Will there ever be a multi-screen of this wallpaper?
