Description
My main concern for the night version of “Greenvale” was that the trees in the vale still be somewhat discernable even at night. My solution was to add some fog on the valley floor. I rendered a few different versions with the moon in different positions to see how the moonlight would fall across the scene. I felt like having the moon in frame distracted from the landscape and also caused the light angle to be too low leaving everything was in shadow. I’ve put the other two renders in the Pickle Jar and hope you approve of my final version 🙂

I love all versions of this but this Pickle Jar version is my favorite. Love the light rays and the fog in the distance. Excellent work!

This is beautiful. The moon is not the “star” of the picture, but brings out little details of the landscape, far and near. Your Pickle Jar versions stand on their own. They are almost separate pieces because, except for the trees in the foreground, the landscape looks different. I’d love any of the them on my wall or desktop!

I love all of them, especially the one with the visible moon. The multi screen renders look great 🙂

This is one of the many I love. The night renders of planets, moons, and mountains are my favorites. Keep up the good work! Also thank you 🙂

I like all of these, but I think you’ve chosen my favorite for the main version. I like the full moon render, but the trees are not as well illuminated in that one. The gallery version and #2 are very similar, but the trees are slightly better lighted in the gallery version, I think. Love this image; reminds me of 2008 “At World’s Edge,” except I like this even better. Thanks, Ryan, for all you do!

Another wonderful night image 🙂

Honestly your “pickle jar” versions stand by themselves, I like the moon visible version better than the main.

The scene you finally ended up with along with the second one here where the moon is hidden are both excellent. They both evoke a feeling of tranquility and peace that’s much appreciated in this day and time. The one with the moon, to me, was overwhelming. The moon is so bright that it detracts from the rest of the scene. Still, good work all around.

I loved the main version of this, but it didn’t fit well with my laptop theme. This one fits perfectly and is an absolutely gorgeous night render.

Thanks for this and the Picklejar versions… I am always a fan of your night version images and these are tops! I will certainly enjoy making this one my main view for several weeks. Looking forward to more!
