Here’s a night version of my updated “Karesansui”. I stayed with the original lighting scene (rather than adding visible lanterns) as I wanted to keep the focus on the foreground. Let me know what you think!!

…. I don’t know if that’s the rock shape you’re gonna wanna go with …. especially with the two smaller rocks at the bottom there …. 😉

The 3840×1080. In looking at dualscreens of your other works, it looks like the watermark jumps around a lot on that size relative to the other 16:9 options. Thanks for checking on this.
Ryan
Which dualscreen version are you using?
JoeC
Your logo watermark on the dual screen is really distracting at its current location. Otherwise, I like this one a lot. The daytime one is still more appealing to me overall, but the gravel on that one makes it hard to see my desktop icons.

Quite possibly my most favorite render ever. Loved the original; the revamp was nice, but this takes the cake. Great Job on this one!

This is brilliant. Always loved all the versions of Karesansui, so now to have a super resolution AND a brilliant night version incredible.
Thank you very much for your work.

This really does have atmosphere. You did the right call with not putting in any lighting on the house, however… there is a big silvery object shining in the sky at night, perhaps that would cast something of an eerie glow to the garden…
Janis
You are amazing!

I think the lanterns would actually be nice, perhaps a Pickle Jar version – just to see what it looks like? it is one of the few that I think is too dark – although admittedly now that I see it on my screens it looks pretty good, the left screen seems to lack something though, perhaps another small rock.

Love the evening renders, as always. I had an idea just now – how about one perfect fall maple leaf plopped in the design a la Haiku?
Perfectly raked
Maple leaf adorns it now.
Amber fall jewel.

I really like the tranquility that the night scene conveys, very in-line with this type of setting. The current lighting makes me wonder what’s in the room ‘off-screen’ that’s casting the light. I’d be interested to see if some additional lighting from other angles (perhaps lanterns?) would soften that impression.
Theo
I think the lanterns would be a really cool addition actually. I’d make one for the sake of the pickle jar anyway 🙂

Wow, I was just getting used to having the day version on my desktop, and then this one came along. I really like night versions, and this beauty is certainly no exception! To me, the lighting against the back wall is a little too orange for my taste, but it is still fantastic! LOVE the lighting on the focal point! Thanks, Ryan!

That is going to stay on my desktop for a while. No need to say any more.
