Description
When Rob Jonson (developer of the Mac app “Multimonitor Wallpaper”) contacted me about integrating my work into his app, he also mentioned another app he was working on that leverages the new “dynamic wallpaper” abilities of MacOS. He wanted to know if I could render a series of images at different times of day.
Normally I only make a day and a night version but he said I would need at least three to make it work so here’s a “noon” version of “Oasia’. I may do one more (dusk? twilight?) and I’m not sure if I will keep all of them in the main gallery or not. Let me know what you think 🙂

To whom it might concern,
Is there any such as “Dynamic Wallpaper” for other platforms, i.e. Wintendo, *ix/X11?
Getwired [liferplus]
Trying to make the dynamic wallpaper with this series – do you have the lossless non-watermarked master for this one?
Thanks Ryan – amazing work!

So cool. Probably my favourite of the sequence. Think the idea of this as dynamic wallpaper is amazing. Need to stick up for the planet in the sky – personal choice – I love it. Scenery looks so Earth-like but the planet says it canât be

I have now studied this magnificent image from Ryan but nowhere can I locate either any mad dogs or English men out in the midday sun, apart from that it’s perfect !!! Thanks, Ryan

I would not want to be out in that climate so realistic until you see the extra planets in the sky, you know it’s not Kanas anymore!!

I like the idea of the different times of day and this render doesn’t disappoint. Great job Ryan!!!

I’m digging the different times of the day thing !. When I first looked at this, I felt I could judt feel the warmth of that noon day sun beating down. Love it !.

I gotta say the Noon version is the best of the 3 so far. The details in the mountains are better combined with the sand and trees really round it out nicely!

The first glance I threw at it turned into a stare, wide-eyed as a deer in the headlights. I believe it to be one of, it not THE best space/planet themed works ever, anywhere. It’s huge, and yet personable and inviting. Warm, but not too hot. Perfect. Now all I need is a ticket to the planet, then I’m all set. Theeya!

I run a double screen at work, and this just came up ( I rotate images ) and it looks SPECTACULAR!
Thanks Ryan!

I really love that you are going to do different times of day. I’ve always wanted to try this with your wallpapers. I was wondering if you could do a dawn & a dusk
Rich [nonmonthly]
I typically like the night versions better but this one is my favorite, although I can’t say why. Might be the time of day revealing different details!

At first glance I thought not enough colour, but as I looked a bit harder I changed my mind. I do like it.
The definition of the hills and the sand dunes is great.
