Description
It seemed like a good idea to attempt an autumn version of “Sliver of Sun” even though it’s a high altitude landscape and the trees aren’t your usual colorful deciduous varieties. Honestly I think it turned out OK but it isn’t really my favorite Autumn render. I hope you enjoy it regardless!

My fiancee and I have been to Kauai twice, and this beautiful render really captures the spirit of the garden island. As we took a fixed wing plane tour around the island we flew over a vast forest/jungle that looks just like this. Excellent job and Mahalo!

I really like it!
I want to request the 5760×1200 triple screen version.
That’s the size I usually use.

Looks like a early morning, great colours and shadows really like this render, because of its peacefulness, awesome render Ryan

I love the scene as a whole, but I wonder if a Pickle Jar version at a different time of day would make it a little better. Because the sun is coming from the west, it seems like the mountains surrounding it are hiding so much of what could be seen. I wonder what moving the light source would do to give the scene that much more depth.

Love this. It just makes one want to be out there, somewhere.

… great fall image, I love this. Waiting on the 3440×1440 for my work computer!

Yes some of the trees in this scene are supposed to be Larches.

I totally agree with your self assessment.
However, if you are not aware of it, check out the Western Larch (Larix occidentals), which we have in the northern Rockies. It is a “deciduous conifer” which turns a fairly intense yellow in fall, making striking areas of yellow within the pine forests, and then sheds its needles. Baffled me, first time I saw them….

I like it but I might add just a little more red in the trees.

very nice as usual. is it possible to do a version of this flipped left to right? with the tall peak on the right, a left to right flip would look interesting on the right screen of a dual monitor setup or doing that and combing the two would make a cool dual screen version.

Seem to be missing a triple-screen 1080 version. Please could you supply one? Thanks.
Nice render, just what I was looking for while Storm Callum blows over.
