Description
I’d always intended to create a summer version of “Autumn Bayou” but somehow I lost track of the project and moved onto other things. After spending a few weeks learning Cinema4D I thought it would be fun to revisit the scene and add something green to my gallery. Hopefully this scene has a character all its own rather than just being a greener version of the Autumn scene.

This one is absolutely gorgeous! I love the lush colours and textures throughout it, and especially the rays of light contrasting with the shadows. Thank you, Ryan.

Ryan, your rendering of Summer Bayou does not disappoint. I have a Bald Cypress tree in my side yard, although it is not quite as large as the ones you depicted. These beautiful trees grow well in residential yards as well as bayous. The tree sheds its bark in paper-thin strips that are several inches wide. These are easily mulched by the mower. Your rendering depicts this shedding along with the beautiful texture and grooves in the tree trunk. The light, feathery leaves that diffuse the light are spot on. Since my tree is not bayou bound it lacks the Spanish moss draped from the limbs and has no knees! The lighting in this work creates the perfect atmosphere for these majestic trees allowing a scene replete with its own unique character. Excellent job Ryan!

I really like this one. I love the look of light rays beaming through trees. I get a little Land of the Lost or Jurassic Park vibes from this too. I could see you applying this technique to a redwood forest with ferns or something in the future!
