Looks great on a TV too!

While I love this scene, I’d like to point out something. I currently use two monitors, so I go for your dual screen versions. I’ve noticed this version seems to have centered the mountain more than in your autumn version, which unfortunately, makes me prefer the autumn version more. I tend to want the focus of the picture to be offset to one side or the other a bit so that the majority of the focus isn’t split by hardware. Just my two cents.

I’d pretty much echo the other favorable comments. Since I’m within your “modification window,” the only suggestion I’d offer would be that maybe the dominating blue could be ever so slightly whiter. Strictly my own opinion of course. Still a very, very nice work.

I love when you make these kinds of images! So dreamy and yet so real.

I love the images with the aurora borealis in them, never had the chance to see one in person yet but your renders will suffice for now!

I haven’t read the books but I’ve seen the movie and I’m looking forward to the HBO/BBC series.

If you have not read Philip Pulman’s ‘Dark Materials’ Trilogy I’d strongly recommend it. If you set a distant city high in aurora borealis behind the mountains and that ishow I see Philip’s vision of other ‘Dust’ worlds in the first of the trilogy ‘Northern Lights’ (known in the US as the Golden Compass). The BBC have just begun a dramatisation of the 3 books. Perfect timing.

So … for Christmas … have you thought about where to place a cabin with a small plume of smoke and a lit tree out front? 🙂
