Description

Expanding my understanding of Cinema4D’s particle and Pyro systems here by attempting to simulate one of the most violent phenomena in the Universe:  the supernova.  The main challenge was to render something that is incalculably bright as something you could have on your desktop and look at without feeling blinded.   The goal was to update “Nova” from 2001 but I think it turned out quite different and is distinctive on its own.   Hope you enjoy it!

Reminds me of some explosion in the fluidic space of species 8472 (Voyager) crossed with the pillars of creation. Love it and thank you Ryan

    I enjoy this!

I like the color palette but something seems off to me. I feel like this might work better being in the sky over a futuristic city or alien mountainscape, rather than being entire focus. But of course these are just my random thoughts and art can be very subjective. I look forward to seeing what you do next!

This one doesn’t work for me at all. I actually really enjoy the 2001 version, and think that an update to it would be great. The colours are much softer and it offers more intrigue to me. This one makes me think more of a water droplet bursting under a microscope than it does space.

Fair enough. It is quite different from the 2001 version. That one was more a remnant of the explosion and this one is the explosion itself.
