Expanding my understanding of Cinema4D’s particle and Pyro systems here by attempting to simulate one of the most violent phenomena in the Universe: the supernova. The main challenge was to render something that is incalculably bright as something you could have on your desktop and look at without feeling blinded. The goal was to update “Nova” from 2001 but I think it turned out quite different and is distinctive on its own.
I took some of the feedback from my first version, made some changes, and am much happier with this updated render. Let me know what you think!
