Description
One of my Members (“John”) commented on Hinterland that he could imagine it being a new version of “The Ride“. Great idea John! I was going to do a night version anyway but I think it evokes the very first Ride nicely. I hope you enjoy it!!

Powerfully enchanting image. Well done.

Tbh it’s my least favorite holiday. I never really thought about it until you mentioned the lack of imagery though.

How come you never made a New Year’s Eve scene? Don’t you celebrate New Year’s Eve? I looked everywhere. Even under “Other Holidays”, but nothing

Plain ole’ black and white, almost, yet the beautifully clarion luminesence shows through with a beauty that makes one draw their breath a bit deeper, knowing in the back of their adult minds – Am I really seeing this? Yes, you are, for there he is. Nuff Sedd. Bless, and have a great holiday season.

I love The Ride, all the versions (especially 2003) and this is a great combination of two beautiful images. I agree with another poster in that I would enjoy some snow and personally, I’d like a little more red in Rudolph’s nose so bright. Not as much as in 1999 and 2003, but enough that we get the idea.
Happy Christmas to you and Jesse and the boys, Ryan. You’ve lighted many of my Christmases for a long time.

This is one of my fun time favorites, Great Holiday Render

This is a great update to “The Ride” the only thing that could make this even better and more of a Christmasy feel is to have more snow on it. Like on the trees and such, any chance we could get a pickle jar version with more snow on it?

The Ride is my all time favorite DB Christmas wallpaper. I remember using the first one (1998 version) as a holiday wallpaper on my work and home computers. Keep up the great work Ryan!

This image caused me to actually Laugh Out Loud, it’s so delightful. The rendering of the night scene is quite successful, but adding the distant Santa, high above ground level is such a hoot!

I really like this render. The lone sleigh with Santa sets the Christmas mood some. The only thing missing to make it really Christmasy is a touch of snow, but I won’t miss it, if it wasn’t added.

Thanks Ryan – I appreciate you taking my suggestion, and it looks great! Will throw some $$ in the tip jar, have a wonderful holiday!

Since I love Hinterland and especially love night scenes, but I would want one I can continue using beyond the Christmas season, any chance we could get a sleigh-free version in the pickle jar?

Every version of “The Ride” has been my favorite of the seasonal selections.

Hinterland done right. Again, it has a beautiful ambiance (though I’m always partial to the moon renders you make). Excellent!

I think this is a beautiful, whimsical update to the original “The Ride”, and I love it. Well done!

Ryan, this is a very nice update to hinterland and the ride. Nicely done!
