Description
After a few more natural-looking Autumn landscapes I thought it might be a good time to journey offworld for brief excursion. Like many of my planetscapes this one started life as a space only scene which I then used as a backdrop in Vue.
Perhaps I will release the “moons only” version in the Pickle Jar?

I like the nighttime version of this better than the daytime! Moons are more prominent, and it gives it a more celestial mood.

I like this, as I do many of your planetscapes. And yeah I’d love to see a moons only version !.

It’s great to see work like this again Ryan. Superb!

This is Awesome, these planet scapes are some of my favorite renders.

This type of art is what made me so attached to your art over a decade ago. Thanks for helping us dream Ryan.

Gimme a six-pack, a BBQ, and A shack and I’ll call this place home.

Wow – colorful and tranquil. I can almost hear the insect symphony. LOVE it!!

I really liked all the different views of Caerulea that you did. I would be interested to see more views of the big moon in particular.
Doc [liferplus]
Awesome. I’m a, (one of many it seems !), fan of your planetscapes and this one is seriously cool. I could see myself sitting on that beach to enjoy that view !. (I am enjoying it as my desktop.)

Always happy to see more planetscapes. Especially when they’re night scenes, and beach scenes PLUS planetscape PLUS night scene….well!
Littlemom [liferplus]
This is so peaceful and serene, and beautiful.
Corwin Amber [nonmonthly]
I love the night time images. Thanks for this.
Ryan
When I created the moons in Lightwave I added some luminosity to the atmosphere in part to mimic the atmospheric glow I?ve seen in a lot of night photos from the ISS. The ring around the red moon did turn out a bit less fuzzy than I had originally intended though.

I really like your planetscapes.
I also noticed the hard white outline of the smaller moons, especially the mid-sized one, and I think it makes them look a little unrealistic.
But the overall effect is beautiful.
May I see the moons only version, please?

Simply awesome. Makes me want to just stare at my monitor desktop without any windows open on it.
Mark A. [liferplus]
it’s very serene & peaceful
Chris [liferplus]
A nice looking picture with great perspective. The colors are lovely.

I love this one. its jsut stunning to me.
Brandi U. [liferplus]
Very nice and lovely. Have to agree with others that the hard line around the smaller moons takes away from the scene.
A moons-only in the Pickle Jar would be great.
Nogs [nonmonthly]
I’ve always imagined what the sky would look like with a closer/more moons or a ring.
Werner Graf [liferplus]
I agree with a previous reviewer: the hard white circle around the two smaller moons looks unrealistic and artificial. Otherwise, it’s lovely!
Richard H. [liferplus]
That hard-edged white circle around the bottom-right moon looks a bit weird and artificial. I don’t like that, I’m afraid. Otherwise, very nice.

I like, a lot. Planetscapes are my thing. The moons only version is much anticipated….
Eyal [lifer]
Please put up the moons only as well!
And don’t forget the multi-screen versions… 🙂
