Here’s another version of “Framework”. Tried to go for more of a glass or crystalline look here. It’s in the gallery for now but eventually only one version will be featured and all others will go in to the Pickle Jar. Let me know what you think in the comments 🙂

If you can’t tell, I’ve been in a bit of an abstract mood lately. I know lots of you are here for sceneries (my wife is among you) but I wanted to stick with my Cinema4D experiments for a few straight weeks to let everything sink in. Thanks for being patient with me here.
For this particular piece I am learning how to use the volume builder/mesher, which takes a 3D geometry that might have seams and turns it into a volumetric object before converting it back to something that looks seamless.

Quite a few folks asked for some color variations of “Interfold“. I’ve added some to the Pickle Jar this morning 👇🏽

I hope you guys don’t mind two abstracts in a row. Here is some more experimentation using Cinema4D’s cloth simulation toolset. This scene uses similar techniques that I employed in “Rhapsody” and “Passel” but I used different forces to create a more complex folding.

And now for something completely different…
Experimenting here with Cinema 4D’s new liquid simulations. The particles here are actually the building blocks of the simulation and can be unified into a “liquid” mesh but I thought they looked more interesting in their discrete form. I modeled the red central structure separately and added it to the scene to provide a bit of order amidst all the chaos.
I hope my abstract fans enjoy it!
